Window Cleaning FAQ
What types of window cleaning supplies do you carry?
We stock a wide selection—from squeegees, scrubbers, extension poles, and water-fed systems to industrial-grade solutions, microfiber towels, and safety gear. Whether you’re cleaning single-story homes or high-rise windows, we’ve got you covered like the pros.
What is a water-fed pole system, and why use it?
Water-fed poles use purified (Reverse Osmosis/De-Ionized) water to clean windows efficiently, leaving glass spot-free without chemicals. Because the water is completely pure, it dries without leaving spots or streaks, so there is no need to squeegee it off. They’re ideal for reaching high windows safely and drying in place. We currently carry them, but they are not listed on the web. If you’re interested, please email us at info@dallaswindowcleaningsupply.com.
How often should I replace water purification filters?
Filter replacement depends on usage and water quality, but a good rule is to change them when TDS rises above acceptable limits or as recommended by the manufacturer. For instance, a rough rule of thumb would be:
- Carbon/sediment filters every month
- RO filters when TDS out of the RO rises above 30-50 PPM (could be 1-3 years, depending on use and storage)
- DI filters when TDS rises above 10-20 PPM (could be 3-6 weeks depending on work volume)
Which squeegee size and blade hardness should I use?
For standard residential windows, a 12″–18″ squeegee with medium-hard blades works best. For large commercial surfaces, go for something larger like 18” – 22”; for delicate glass (like tinted or low-E), softer blades reduce streaks
Do you carry starter kits for new window cleaners?
Yes! We offer everything that you need to get started. If you would like us to recommend a specific kit at your price point, please email us at info@dallaswindowcleaningsupply.com.
Can your tools handle hard water stains?

What type of bucket should I use?
The short answer is – whatever bucket you can get that holds soap and water and helps you clean windows. For small residential jobs, you may only require a 3-gallon square bucket. However, most pros carry a 6-gallon square bucket which allows you to fully dunk your 18” scrubber.
Are your cleaning solutions safe for solar panels and screens?
